PSG's Dembele wants attacking display vs Chelsea

PSG forward Ousmane Dembele urges team to go for goals against Chelsea in second leg. Ballon d'Or winner Dembele fires up PSG for Chelsea clash.

Dembele wants PSG to attack and finish off Chelsea in Champions League...

Dembele's firing up PSG, telling them to put Chelsea to the sword in the second leg. They're cruising with a 5-2 lead, but he's urging caution and a strong finish.

With a comfortable lead, PSG's focus is on wrapping up the tie, but Dembele knows Chelsea's capable of a big comeback.

Dembele thinks PSG should go all out for goals in the second leg at Stamford Bridge, rather than sitting back and defending their 5-2 lead. The Ballon d'Or winner's urging his team to take the game to Chelsea and make it a knockout contest.

PSG will be confident, but Chelsea's got nothing to lose.

“As I said after the first leg, our mentality is to win. We cannot just remain defensive. We need to win,”
the France star told reporters on Monday.

“We need to remain extremely focused. Chelsea is a high-quality team, they've won many matches in Europe. Our mentality will not change - we came here to win.”

Dembele's not forgetting Aston Villa's scare last season, when PSG led 5-1 on aggregate but nearly got overturned. He's urging his team to learn from that and not let Chelsea get a foothold in the game.

PSG's got a big lead, but Dembele knows Chelsea's capable of a big comeback, especially at Stamford Bridge.

“We may suffer a little bit,” Dembele said. “It's like last season, we won the Champions League but we also had difficult moments. We need to remain focused.

“We're three goals ahead but our mentality has not changed. We're not going to be a defensive team and wait. We're going to play our game.”

Luis Enrique's taking Dembele's warning to heart – he's reminding PSG that Chelsea's far from done, citing the Villa Park scare last season.

“It's a clear example of what a football match could be come,” he said. “We prepared the Villa match just like the Chelsea match, with the intention to win and score goals.

“It's important to know how to control the match, control the pace. It's our goal to win the match but we know we will have complicated moments.”

Luis Enrique's keeping PSG's focus on the game, brushing off the drama around Chelsea's pre-match huddle. He's not letting the controversy distract his team from the task at hand – beating Chelsea and moving on.

Holding the huddle in the centre circle has been seen as disrespectful to opponents but the PSG boss said: “I was surprised when I saw it. But I heard Liam talk about it with maturity.

“We can see different things but if there is respect - and I think there is a respect from Chelsea players and staff - no problem at all.”
