Edo State International Films Festival Kicks Off In Style [PHOTOS]
The Edo State Skills Development Agency (EdoJobs) has launched the inaugural Edo State International Films Festival. Mrs. Betsy Obaseki, the first lady of Edo state, officially kicked off the event at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub and Sound Stage in Benin.
Mrs. Dare Ukinebo, Convener and Co-Chairman of the Festival, Lancelot Imasuen, Edo State Commissioner for Arts, Culture, Tourism, and Diaspora Affairs Hon. Prince Bamidele Obaitan, and other dignitaries and stakeholders in the film industry were also present.
The film “We cannot be silenced,” produced by the Edo State Committee against Gender-Based Violence, was screened and premiered at the event. Masterclasses with industry experts, panel discussions, movie premieres, virtual sessions, and networking opportunities with local and international industry participants will also be part of the four-day event.
The Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development support the Edo State International Film Festival.
