A late mistake from Nordsjaelland keeper Andreas Hansen allowed Brondby to snatch a point...

Marko Divkovic struck late to earn Brondby a 1-1 draw with FC Nordsjaelland on Friday evening, keeping their hopes of third place alive. Nordsjaelland had looked set for a narrow win after Prince Amoako scored in the 60th minute, despite playing with 10 men from the 40th minute following Alexander Lind’s red card.

The result denied Nordsjaelland the chance to knock Brondby out of the race for the bronze medals. Amoako’s 60th-minute goal put the visitors ahead, even after Lind was sent off five minutes before half-time.

Marko Divkovic equalized late on to give Brondby a draw and keep their slim hopes of finishing third alive.

Chances were scarce for most of the first half, but the game sparked into life in the 40th minute when Nordsjaelland striker Alexander Lind tripped Luis Binks and was shown a straight red card.

Brondby controlled possession in the second half with the man advantage but struggled to create clear chances. Prince Amoako showed his striker’s instincts again, slipping past his marker outside the box and curling a shot into the far corner beyond Patrick Pentz.

Pentz was called into action soon after, keeping out Juho Lahteenmaki’s effort after Amoako hit the post. Nordsjaelland looked set for an unlikely win until the 89th minute, when keeper Andreas Hansen mistimed his intervention on Marko Divkovic’s finish and allowed Brondby to snatch a point.
