FC Copenhagen win

FC Copenhagen came from behind to beat Randers 2-1, while Silkeborg IF defeated OB 3-1 in Danish Superliga action.

Silkeborg IF bounced back from a loss to FC Copenhagen with a 3-1 win over OB, boosting their relegation fight in the Danish Superliga...

FC Copenhagen, under the leadership of Bo Svensson, secured a thrilling 2-1 win against Randers FC, keeping their hopes alive for a seventh-place finish and a spot in European club competitions. This was their second game under Svensson, and they came back strong with two late goals to take the win.

The match saw Randers FC initially taking the lead, but FC Copenhagen fought back with goals from Mads Emil Madsen and a penalty converted by Mathias Greve in the dying minutes. This win showcases FC Copenhagen's determination and resilience under their new leadership

Randers 1-2 FC Copenhagen

The new FC Copenhagen coach, Bo Svensson, has apparently brought a lot of tailwind with him into the job.

After the goal show in the debut against Silkeborg, FC Copenhagen recorded a somewhat fortunate 2-1 away win against Randers FC on Sunday evening.

The home side otherwise deservedly took the lead after 65 minutes when Mathias Greve floated a corner to the back post, where Daniel Hoegh stole in front of Mohamed Elyounoussi and directed the ball past FC Copenhagen keeper Dominik Kotarski.

However, against the run of play, the Copenhagen visitors restored parity eight minutes from the end when Randers keeper Paul Izzo spilled a long-distance shot from Elias Achouri, and Viktor Claesson pounced on the rebound to make it 1-1.

FC Copenhagen snatched the win in the dying seconds. Andreas Cornelius headed a cross from Achouri onto William Clem, who volleyed it past Izzo for the winner

Silkeborg IF bounced back. Trailing 1-0, they turned it around to beat OB 3-1 at home, boosting their chances of avoiding relegation.

OB got off to a good start, going 1-0 up after 28 minutes. Rasmus Falk's shot was parried by Nicolai Larsen, and Marcus McCoy scored on the rebound.

Silkeborg drew level in the 67th minute. Tonni Adamsen delivered a great ball into the box, and Pedro
Ganchas headed it home.

The home side took the lead just four minutes later. Adamsen played it well again, this time to Oliver Ross, who scored with a clinical first-time shot into the far corner.

Adamsen then rounded off an impressive performance when he got on the scoresheet himself with only one minute remaining

Silkeborg is thus in 11th place only one point behind Fredericia on the right side of the relegation line, but Fredericia will not be in action until Monday at home against Vejle.
