Bournemouth frustrated as Leeds fight back twice for stoppage-time draw.
Leeds United grabbed a stoppage-time equalizer to earn a 2-2 draw at AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League, marking back-to-back head-to-head draws after their previous 10 meetings all produced a winner.
Both sides started with intensity, but the hosts carried the bigger threat. Alex Scott came within inches of finding David Brooks in the box, while Evanilson fired an improvised effort just wide.
Both defenses dealt well with balls into the box, and James Hill’s long throws tested Leeds but failed to produce a breakthrough.
The first shot on target came in the 32nd minute but posed little threat, with Adrien Truffert’s tame right-footed strike from distance comfortably saved.
Leeds didn’t wait long for their first chance, with Brenden Aaronson weaving past two Cherries defenders before Dorde Petrovic denied him.
Bournemouth went agonisingly close before half-time when David Brooks’ sliding effort was saved by Karl Darlow’s outstretched boot, and Marcus Tavernier put the rebound wide.
Leeds survived a scare right after the restart when Pascal Struijk glanced Alex Scott’s free-kick narrowly wide, before the Bournemouth midfielder lashed a shot well off target.
Struijk then threw himself in the way of Ryan Christie’s effort as Andoni Iraola’s side ramped up the pressure, which paid off on the hour mark.
Marcos Senesi won the ball in midfield, shrugged off Gabriel Gudmundsson and drove forward before sliding in Kroupi, whose finish deflected off Joe Rodon on its way past Darlow.
Noah Okafor struck the post, but Leeds equalized moments later when a long throw wasn’t cleared and James Hill turned Gnonto’s low cross into his own net.
Rayan had a shot tipped away soon after coming on, but the Brazilian wasn’t to be denied. In the 86th minute he reacted first to guide fellow substitute Tyler Adams’ cross inside the post with an instinctive finish.

After Evanilson had a goal chalked off, Bournemouth’s frustration grew when Sean Longstaff struck in the 97th minute to rescue a point for Leeds. The draw still extended the Cherries’ club-record PL unbeaten run to 14 games and lifted them above Chelsea.
The result stretched Leeds’ unbeaten run to seven games in all competitions and took them to 40 PL points, giving the Whites extra confidence ahead of their FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea at Wembley.
