Winners and losers, Seahawks dominate Chiefs, Bengals erupt & more Week 7 takeaways...
It was a week of statements in the NFL.
Heading into Week 7, the Kansas City Chiefs looked unbeatable and several Super Bowl favorites looked shaky. By Sunday night, the script had flipped.
The Seattle Seahawks put the league on notice with a dominant defensive masterclass against the previously undefeated Chiefs, while the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers delivered another NFC North classic that came down to a walk-off field goal.
Elsewhere, the Denver Broncos continued their red-hot turnaround with a third straight win, the Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals got back to their explosive best, and Tampa Bay and New York leaned on the ground game to grind out crucial victories.
Here is your full recap, results, and top performers from every game in NFL Week 7.
Falcons Hand 49ers First Loss Of The Season
The 49ers (6-1) arrived in Week 7 unbeaten, and despite being just 2-0 on the road, there was belief they could extend their run against a Falcons (3-4) side still searching for consistency in 2026. San Francisco found the end zone in both the first and second quarters, but their offense then went silent, allowing Michael Penix Jr. to take control as he finished with 313 passing yards, three touchdowns and no turnovers.

It was a difficult outing for Brock Purdy, who went 27-of-40 but failed to get the offense moving, throwing two interceptions against a single touchdown. Atlanta closed it out with a 10-6 fourth quarter to secure what may be the biggest upset of the season so far.
Browns Outlast Titans To Stay Atop AFC North
The Browns (5-2) have been one of the NFL's biggest surprises in 2026, and although the Titans (1-6) pushed them hard, Cleveland held firm to stay level with Pittsburgh atop the AFC North after the Steelers won earlier in the day.
Cleveland's success was built on the ground, with four different rushers combining for 183 yards and three touchdowns in a strong offensive showing. Tennessee leaned on Tony Pollard, who ran for 129 yards and three scores, but with Cam Ward unable to find his rhythm, the Titans are left with just a single win this season.

Vikings Edge Colts To Keep Perfect Season Alive
It hasn’t always been convincing, but the Vikings (6-0) found a way again, holding the Colts (2-5) to just 10 points all scored in the first half to preserve their unbeaten record in 2026. The offense was quiet as well, with 10 of Minnesota's 16 points coming in the fourth quarter, as they rushed for 136 yards while Kyler Murray was held to only 150 passing yards and no touchdown throws.

Indianapolis was just as ineffective through the air, with Daniel Jones completing only 13 of his 22 passes. Jonathan Taylor provided a spark with 95 yards and a touchdown, but it wasn't enough as the Colts continue to search for identity and consistency.
Dolphins Hold Off Jets In AFC East Basement Battle
The Dolphins (1-5) and Jets (2-5) have propped up the AFC East in recent years, and 2026 has followed the same script, but their meeting delivered an entertaining back-and-forth contest. Malik Willis took care of the football, while Ollie Gordon led the way on the ground with 103 yards and a touchdown, as Miami built its win with 21 of its 28 points coming in the first half.
The Jets showed promise once more but faltered when it counted, as an 18-point second-half rally still left them short. Geno Smith threw for three scores and Braelon Allen added 104 yards on the ground, but it wasn't enough to avoid another defeat.

Buccaneers Run Riot In Blowout Win Over Panthers
The Panthers (3-3) made a bright start to 2026 but have faded recently, and their defense endured its worst day of the season in Week 7 as the Buccaneers (2-5) produced a rare dominant display with the ball. Tampa Bay did all of its damage on the ground, piling up 258 yards from Bucky Irving and Kenny Gainwell, with two interceptions helping to fuel the onslaught.

Carolina, meanwhile, is still searching for consistency, managing just 88 rushing yards while Bryce Young threw the two picks. Now back to .500, the Panthers will need to rediscover some rhythm quickly if they are to mount a postseason push in 2026.
Bengals Erupt After Halftime To Rout Ravens
The Bengals (4-2) are devastating when their offense clicks, and they showed it again on the road against the Ravens (4-3), scoring all 35 points in the second half after a slow start. Joe Burrow was superb, posting a 143.3 passer rating and throwing four touchdowns to spark the surge, even as Cincinnati was held to just 73 yards on the ground.
Still without Lamar Jackson, Tyler Huntley delivered a respectable outing with 298 passing yards, but Baltimore couldn't reach the end zone, with all 13 of its points coming in the first half before fading badly down the stretch.

Giants Survive Overtime Scare To Beat Texans
The Giants (4-2-1) have made an excellent start to 2026, and despite a scare from the Texans (2-5), they escaped on the road in an overtime thriller to move to 1-1-1 away from home this season. J.J. McCarthy didn't throw a touchdown but managed the game well, with Cam Skattebo leading the ground attack as four different Giants rushed for a score.

C.J. Stroud battled hard but struggled through the air with just 153 yards, and although he threw two touchdowns, it wasn't enough. The loss drops Houston to 0-4 at home early in 2026.
Rams Power Past Raiders Behind Stafford's Three Scores
The Rams (3-4) entered 2026 as Super Bowl contenders but haven't played like it, losing three of their first four home games. On the road, though, they improved to 2-1 with a convincing win over the Raiders (3-4), fueled by a 21-point second quarter, three touchdowns from Matthew Stafford and 99 rushing yards from Kyren Williams.
The Raiders fought hard with Kirk Cousins under center, but with less than 50 rushing yards as a team, they were always going to struggle to keep pace with a legitimate Super Bowl threat.

Broncos Stay Hot With Road Win Over Cardinals
After a 2-2 start, the Broncos (5-2) have hit their stride with three straight wins, moving to 2-2 on the road with a victory over the Cardinals (2-5), who dropped to 0-3 at home. Denver showed balance this time, with Bo Nix throwing for 218 yards and the team rushing for 159, adding 17 points in the second half to extend their hot streak.

Arizona, meanwhile, couldn't find sustained success on either side of the ball. Trey McBride was the bright spot, catching 10 passes for 111 yards and a touchdown, but the Cardinals still came up short by two scores on Sunday.
Lions Edge Packers In NFC North Thriller
The Lions (4-2) and Packers (4-3) renewed their fierce NFC North rivalry with another classic on Sunday, as a tight fourth quarter with three points apiece ended with the road team claiming a big divisional win. Detroit's star trio delivered again, with Jared Goff throwing for 303 yards, Jahmyr Gibbs rushing for 116 yards and Amon-Ra St. Brown hauling in 153 yards, before Jake Bates sealed it with a walk-off field goal.
Green Bay battled hard, with Jordan Love throwing for 264 yards and a 2-to-1 TD-to-INT ratio, but managing just 60 rushing yards as a team proved costly against a Lions side built to punish one-dimensional offenses, even if the Packers came close to stealing it late.

Seahawks Dominate Chiefs In Statement Win
The Seahawks (4-3) haven't quite found their rhythm since winning the Super Bowl earlier in 2026, but on Sunday Night Football they faced a huge test against the then-unbeaten Chiefs (5-1). Seattle delivered a dominant performance at home, with Emmanuel Wilson leading the way with 100 yards as the team scored in the second, third and fourth quarters to secure the victory.

It was the defense that truly shone, holding Kansas City under 200 total yards despite its 5-0 start to the season. Patrick Mahomes was limited to 19-of-33 with no touchdowns and an interception, as Seattle sent a clear message to the rest of the NFL after its slow start.
