Blow for Pistons as All-Star Duren sidelined with hamstring injury...
Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren is set to be sidelined for at least two weeks after sustaining a hamstring strain, the NBA team announced on Sunday.
The injury occurred in the second quarter of Friday's win over the Miami Heat.
He featured for just 10 minutes in the contest, making two of his four field-goal attempts while grabbing six rebounds.
Currently averaging 13 points, 7.5 rebounds and two assists per game in the early stages of the season, Duren will be reassessed in two weeks, the Pistons said.
The injury will rule him out of at least six games, including two meetings with the Philadelphia 76ers and a matchup against defending champions the New York Knicks.
Last season, Duren posted a career-best 19.5 points per game and earned his first All-Star selection, playing a key role as the Pistons secured the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

His postseason form dipped, however, as Detroit exited in the second round, and he missed the start of training camp amid a contract extension impasse before eventually signing a reported five-year, $200 million deal.
