The Chicago White Sox picked up outfielder Brenton Doyle from the Colorado Rockies right before Monday’s trade deadline. Heading to Colorado in return are pitching prospect Mason Adams and shortstop prospect Carlos Vielma.

Doyle, 28, has gone 5-for-his-last-5 at the plate. On the year he’s hitting .214/.287/.282 across 45 games, with 1 HR, 5 RBI and 9 stolen bases.

Adams, 26, has posted a 3.86 ERA this year in 14 minor-league appearances with 12 starts. He’s struck out 48 batters over 49 innings. The right-hander is currently in Triple-A, where he owns a 4.25 ERA across nine outings, seven of them starts.

Vielma is a 16-year-old from Colombia who’s been tearing it up in the foreign rookie league. In 34 games he’s slashing .337/.508/.474 with 1 home run and 21 RBI.
