Serie A: Inter Milan Cruise Past 10-Man Lazio 3-0 to Extend Unbeaten Run
Inter showed no signs of slowing down after clinching the Scudetto, beating Lazio 3-0 to stretch their unbeaten streak to nine matches.
Lazio’s afternoon unraveled after Alessio Romagnoli’s red card, with Inter sealing a 3-0 win through Martinez, Sucic, and Mkhitaryan...
Lautaro Martinez set up two goals as Inter Milan, fresh off clinching the Serie A title, cruised to a 3-0 win over Lazio. The result stretched their unbeaten run against the Biancocelesti to nine matches.
Both managers made changes with Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final in mind, but Inter showed no signs of slowing down and carried on celebrating after securing the Scudetto on Sunday.
Inter went ahead in just six minutes. Yann Bisseck launched a long throw that Marcus Thuram flicked on, and Lautaro Martinez applied a clinical finish for his first goal in only his third appearance since February.

Thuram nearly made it two soon after, drilling a shot into the side netting as Inter sliced through Lazio with ease. The hosts had moments going forward, with Tijjani Noslin forcing a straightforward save from Josep Martinez with a free-kick. At the other end, Thuram’s casual effort was blocked by Mario Gila after Inter remained a threat.
Nicolo Barella had Edoardo Motta scrambling with a free-kick that drifted just wide. Lazio’s keeper was beaten again in the 39th minute when Martinez combined neatly with Andy Diouf and laid it off for Petar Sucic, who stroked it home from the edge of the box.
Cristian Chivu made two changes at halftime, but Lazio still couldn’t get a foothold. Bisseck pushed forward and tested the keeper, though his shot was saved without much trouble.
Things went from bad to worse for Lazio before the hour mark when VAR spotted Alessio Romagnoli raking his studs down Ange-Yoan Bonny’s leg, and the defender was sent off.
Moments after having his own long-range effort saved, Carlos Augusto made a crucial block to stop Gustav Isaksen’s goal-bound shot and snuff out Lazio’s best chance. Isaksen kept trying, firing one effort wide and forcing another save, but couldn’t find a way through.
Lazio looked more threatening after the changes, but their finishing issues persisted when Noslin’s shot took a deflection and went out for a corner. Inter made them pay in the 76th minute as Henrikh Mkhitaryan found space and buried their third.

The goal showed Inter aren’t taking their foot off the gas after winning the title. The Nerazzurri stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to nine games heading into the Coppa Italia final. Lazio can still take heart from their recent run, with this only their second defeat in 11 matches.
