Inter drop points at Torino but move closer to title as Dimarco sets record. Thuram and Bisseck score before Simeone, Vlasic penalties complete comeback...
Inter Milan edged closer to the Serie A title despite blowing a two-goal lead in a 2-2 draw at Torino. The result puts them 10 points clear of Napoli with four games left, meaning three more points will seal the Scudetto.
Inter created the first clear opening when Manuel Akanji headed just wide from a clever set-piece routine. The first effort on target was also a header, but Yann Bisseck’s attempt failed to test Alberto Paleari in the Torino goal.
Inter made it count on their third headed chance in the 23rd minute. Marcus Thuram rose at the back post to power home Federico Dimarco’s perfectly lofted cross and open the scoring.
Torino went into halftime without a single shot on target. Inter picked up where they left off after the restart, and only a sharp stop from Paleari kept Dimarco from making it 2-0 seconds into the second half. Matteo Darmian pounced on the rebound but saw his effort blocked at the last second.
Dimarco and Thuram nearly linked up again moments later. The Frenchman latched onto a slick through ball but saw his shot deflected behind for a corner.
Corners have been a key weapon for Cristian Chivu’s Inter this season, and Dimarco wasn’t going to be denied a second assist.
His pinpoint delivery found Bisseck, who headed home to double the lead. That took Dimarco to 18 assists for the season - a new Serie A single-season record.
From nothing, Giovanni Simeone dragged Torino back into it in the 70th minute, finishing neatly after a slick passing move.

The goal flipped the momentum. Simeone fired just wide minutes later, before Yan Sommer made his first save of the night to tip away Alieu Njie’s fierce drive.
Torino’s surge led to a penalty for handball against Carlos Augusto, a harsh call given after VAR spotted the ball striking him from close range.
Nikola Vlasic buried the penalty to level it at 2-2, and Torino looked likelier to snatch a winner late on as the points were shared.

It’s only the second time in 15 meetings that Torino have avoided defeat to Inter, though they stay stuck in mid-table. Despite the late slip, Inter can still wrap up the title next weekend with a home win over Parma.
