Como let a two-goal lead slip against Inter Milan for the second time in 10 days. Inter pulled off an incredible comeback to win 3-2, reach the Coppa Italia final, and keep their domestic double hopes alive.
Chasing history proved powerful for Como. Driven by the chance to reach their first-ever Coppa Italia final, they dominated the first half.
Marc-Oliver Kempf hit the post with a header from a corner, which came after Inter keeper Josep Martinez saved Martin Baturina’s tight-angle shot. On the half hour, Baturina got his revenge.
Ignace van der Brempt drove to the byline and pulled it back for Baturina, unmarked eight yards out. The Croatian smashed Como into the lead.
The goal blew the tie wide open. Chances kept coming in the rest of the first half. Tasos Douvikas met a dangerous corner but flashed his header just wide.
Inter’s best chance came soon after when Marcus Thuram headed toward goal, only for Maximo Perrone to clear it off the line.
Como’s rise has been meteoric. They were in Serie C just six years ago. Two minutes into the second half, they put themselves on the brink of the cup final. A loose pass from Piotr Zielinski gave the ball to Nico Paz, and Como’s star man played in Lucas Da Cunha to finish from a tight angle.

Inter pushed frantically for a lifeline and got one with just over 20 minutes left. Hakan Calhanoglu’s long-range strike took a deflection and flew into the bottom corner.
Como sub Assane Diao should have killed the tie a minute after Inter’s goal but wasted a clear one-on-one. It proved costly.
Calhanoglu grabbed his second to level the tie with a precise 12-yard header. Then Petar Sucic’s 89th-minute curler completed a remarkable comeback and booked Inter’s spot in Rome. They will face Atalanta or Lazio in the final.
