Tottenham Hotspur has been slapped with a 30,000 euro ($35,000) fine by UEFA due to their fans' “racist or discriminatory behaviour” during a Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt in January. The incident led to three fans being banned indefinitely by the club.
In addition to the fine, UEFA has also imposed a suspended one-match ban on selling tickets to Spurs fans for an away European match, which will only be enforced if similar incidents occur within a year. Spurs will face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16 this month.
