SGA scores 30, closes in on Wilt Chamberlain's record; Thunder wins 100-87 vs Mavericks...

The New York Knicks put an end to the San Antonio Spurs' 11-game winning streak with a dominating 114-89 victory at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Jalen Brunson led the charge with 25 points, while Mikal Bridges added 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Karl-Anthony Towns also made a significant impact with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

The Spurs, who had been on a roll after going undefeated in February, were unable to overcome the Knicks' strong defense. Victor Wembanyama, who had been playing at an elite level, finished with 25 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to carry the team to victory. The Knicks' win was a testament to their balanced attack, with six players scoring in double figures.

Wembanyama was on fire, dropping 25 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 blocks, but it wasn't enough for the Spurs. He was supported by Devin Vassell with 18 points and Stephon Castle with 13, but they were the only other Spurs players to reach double figures.

The team's three-point shooting was off, hitting just 9 of 34 shots from beyond the arc. They also struggled with turnovers, committing a season-high 22 that the Knicks turned into 24 points. Meanwhile, Bridges was a standout on defense, racking up five steals.

Good win by our guys,” Knicks coach Mike Brown said. “(San Antonio) is a really good team. They obviously missed some shots, but I thought our weak-side defense was really good. For them to shoot 26, 27% from (three-point range), our activity on the weak side was really good.”

The San Antonio Spurs initially took control, leading by as many as 12 points in the first quarter. However, the New York Knicks bounced back, taking a one-point lead at the end of the first period and never looking back. A dominant 26-2 scoring run spanning the first and second quarters allowed the Knicks to seize control of the game.

Karl-Anthony Towns led the Knicks with 12 points and 14 rebounds, while six players scored in double figures. The team's balanced attack proved too much for the Spurs, who were held to their season-low in points.

Knicks Halts Spurs' 11-Game Winning Streak

The New York Knicks ended the San Antonio Spurs' 11-game winning streak with a dominant 114-89 victory at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. Mikal Bridges led the way with 25 points, while Jalen Brunson added 24 points and seven assists. The Knicks held the Spurs to a season-low scoring output, with Victor Wembanyama's 25 points, 13 rebounds, and four blocked shots not enough to secure a win for San Antonio.

The San Antonio Spurs' loss to the New York Knicks has given the Oklahoma City Thunder more breathing room at the top of the Western Conference. The Thunder, reigning NBA champions, now have a three-game lead over the Spurs after beating the Dallas Mavericks 100-87 in Texas.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is chasing history. The Oklahoma City Thunder star scored 30 points against the Dallas Mavericks, extending his streak of 20-point games to 123. He's just three games shy of Wilt Chamberlain's record of 126 consecutive 20-point games set between 1961 and 1963.

Gilgeous-Alexander's impressive performance brings him closer to Chamberlain's legendary mark. The Thunder's 100-87 win over the Mavericks was a team effort, but SGA was the standout, leading the scoring charge and making his case for individual greatness.

Timberwolves Keep Playoff Hopes Alive

The Minnesota Timberwolves bounced back from a slow start to score a big 117-108 win over the Denver Nuggets in Colorado, keeping them firmly in the playoff hunt. A dominant 36-19 second quarter, led by Anthony Edwards' 21 points and Jaden McDaniels' 20 points, helped Minnesota overcome an 11-point first-quarter deficit.

The Detroit Pistons maintained their lead at the top of the Eastern Conference with a 106-92 win over the Orlando Magic in Florida. An upset seemed possible after Orlando led throughout the first half, taking a 57-50 lead at the break.

The Pistons turned things around in the second half, outscoring the Magic to secure the victory.

Detroit turned the game around, outscoring Orlando 56-35 in the final two quarters to seal the win. This victory lifts the Pistons to 45-14 in the East, solidifying their lead in the conference.

The Pistons now have a healthy lead over the second-placed Boston Celtics, who bounced back with a 114-98 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
