Brøndby fans are furring up about FC Midtjylland's “undignified treatment” after a fence blocked their view of the match. The fans claim they were forced to take down the steel fence themselves just to catch a glimpse of the game.
The controversy erupted when FC Midtjylland put up the fence, sparking outrage among Brøndby supporters who felt their experience was being ruined. The incident has left a sour taste, with fans expressing their discontent online.
Brøndby fans tore down a steel fence during a match, with TV images showing the dramatic scene. The Herning club condemned the act, calling it “vandalism.”
The incident has sparked concern and is likely to be investigated further.
FC Midtjylland is furring up about the incident, saying it's “totally unacceptable when vandalism is committed at a stadium - especially when it goes beyond installations that have been set up for the safety of players, fans and employees.” The club stresses that the fence had been approved by league organizers, Divisionsforeningen.
The fan segment "Southside Brøndby” isn't having it, releasing a statement criticizing conditions at the MCH Arena. They're pushing back against FC Midtjylland's stance, sparking a heated debate.
"The statutes of the league organizers state that there must be a prominent banner space. In practice, the current construction meant that if banners were hung on the fence, the majority of paying fans would lose their view entirely.”
“The fence was removed, solely with the aim of being able to place banners appropriately and at the same time preserve the view. There was no intention of trespassing or creating a disturbance. The match proceeded calmly and with respectful behavior. Although it may be difficult to understand as an ordinary citizen, our first priority will always be the visual and vocal support for Brondby.”
The game ended 0-0, with both teams fighting hard but unable to find the back of the net.
