The Brazilian wasn’t waiting long for another, and it was from the spot once more.

Jose Angel Carmona then slid in his own area, touching Cancelo’s cutback with his arm, allowing Raphinha to convert another penalty, this time low and hard to Odysseas Vlachodimos’ right

Sevilla's defense struggled to contain Barcelona's relentless attacks, with Oso and Akor Adams putting up most of the resistance. Despite this, Barcelona dominated possession and created chances, hardly breaking a sweat in the first half-hour.

Lucien Agoume had Sevilla's best chance on a rare counter-attack, heading the ball goalward, but it wasn't enough to trouble Barcelona's defense. The game was effectively sealed when Dani Olmo scored the third goal, slamming home a low drive on the run.

Right on half-time, Robert Lewandowski’s flying header just landed the wrong side of the upright, and in stoppage time, Oso’s cushioned volley at the far post gave the visitors a lifeline.

Sevilla's brief reprieve ended six minutes into the second half when Fermin Lopez's pinpoint pass found Raphinha, who scored via a deflection off Nemanja Gudelj to complete his hat-trick. This goal sealed Barcelona's dominant 5-2 win over Sevilla, restoring their four-point lead at the top of La Liga.

Barcelona dominated the game, and Joao Cancelo sealed the win with a brilliant solo goal, firing through Odysseas Vlachodimos' legs for his first goal since rejoining the club. This goal came after Raphinha's hat-trick had already left Sevilla struggling.

The atmosphere at Camp Nou was electric, with over 56,000 fans witnessing a thrilling match. Barcelona's confidence is soaring ahead of their Champions League clash with Newcastle.

Ruben Vargas created a chance for Joan Garcia with 18 minutes to play, while Ronald Araujo's towering free header flew just wide. As the game wound down, Barcelona played keep-ball, but Djibril Sow scored a late consolation for Sevilla, sparing them some embarrassment.

Barcelona's win marked their 15th consecutive home victory, their best streak since 2019, and extended their unbeaten run against Sevilla to 23 matches (W20, D3).
