Cristiano Ronaldo suffers hamstring injury, undergoing treatment in Spain...
Cristiano Ronaldo's headed to Spain for rehab after picking up a hamstring injury in Al Nassr's 3-1 win over Al-Fayha. The 41-year-old Portugal forward, who's scored 21 goals in 22 games this season, will undergo treatment with his personal physiotherapist in Madrid.
Coach Jorge Jesus revealed that Ronaldo's injury is more serious than initially thought, and he'll likely miss the next two Saudi Pro League games. This puts his participation in Portugal's friendlies against Mexico and the US in doubt, but he's expected to recover in time for the 2026 World Cup.
“After examining Ronaldo’s injury, it became clear that he needs a period of rest and treatment, so we decided to send him to Spain,” Jesus told a press conference.
“The medical staff diagnosed Ronaldo’s condition and confirmed that he is unable to take part in tomorrow’s match or the following one (against Al‑Khaleej).”
It's still uncertain if Ronaldo will be fit for Portugal's friendlies against Mexico (March 29) and the US (April 1). The timing's tight, and his rehab in Spain's gonna determine if he can make it back in time.
