Bodo/Glimt pulled off a massive upset, beating Inter Milan 2-1 in the second leg and winning 5-2 on aggregate, making them the first Norwegian team to advance from a knockout round in the Champions League since 1987. This incredible win at the San Siro stunned fans, especially considering Inter had never won a UCL knockout game by three clear goals before.
The Norwegian side, from deep inside the Arctic Circle, took control early, and despite Inter's pressure, they managed to secure their spot in the last 16. Jens Petter Hauge and Hakon Evjen scored crucial goals, with Alessandro Bastoni scoring a late consolation for Inter.
Inter almost got off to a blazing start, with Sebastiano Esposito heading Federico Dimarco's lofted ball narrowly over the bar inside three minutes. It was one-way traffic for most of the first half, with Davide Frattesi having a header saved, and Dimarco's zipping effort tipped over by Nikita Haikin.
Inter's attack was relentless, but Rosenborg's goalkeeper Haikin was having a top game, making crucial saves to keep the score level.
Inter's pressure continued, with Davide Frattesi having two great chances cleared off the line and then palmed away by Nikita Haikin's diving save. Meanwhile, Rosenborg finally created their first chance in the 36th minute, with Hakon Evjen's header forcing Yann Sommer to make a scramble save.
The visitors were growing into the game, and it was a warning shot for Inter.

Inter took control after the break, but Rosenborg pulled off a major upset as the hour mark approached. Manuel Akanji's mistake allowed Ole Blomberg to score, and Jens Petter Hauge tapped in the rebound, silencing the Inter fans.
The Norwegians were on fire, and it was a huge blow to Inter's hopes.
Akanji tried to redeem himself, but his sweeping shot from Dimarco's cutback hit the woodwork. It was too little, too late, as Rosenborg sealed the win in the 72nd minute. Hauge's brilliant through ball set up Evjen, who calmly beat Sommer to score the killer goal.
The game was over, and Inter's Champions League dreams were dashed.

Inter Milan's hopes of a comeback were dashed as they pulled a goal back through Alessandro Bastoni's close-range finish, but it was too little, too late. Bodo/Glimt held their nerve and coasted through the remaining minutes with minimal danger, securing their spot in the last 16 of the Champions League.
Bodo/Glimt's incredible run continues, and they're set to face either Manchester City or Sporting Lisbon in the next round.
Bodo/Glimt's fairytale continues! They've won four UCL matches in a row, and it's their first time reaching the last 16. This is huge for a club that had never won a UCL match before January.

Inter, on the other hand, miss out on the last 16 for the first time since 2020/21. Despite the disappointment, they're still top of Serie A and have a good chance at a league and Coppa Italia double.
