Tottenham Hotspur's injury list rows to seven players, with Dominic Solanke's ankle recovery is going well, according to Spurs manager Thomas Frank.

“He looks better and better. He will be in contention for the squad...”

Dominic Solanke is still recovering from ankle surgery and is expected to be out for a while. According to manager Frank, Solanke is making progress, having started training on the pitch. “Dom has progressed well after the surgery. (He has) been on the pitch... he's progressing and he's going forward, so that's good,” Frank said.

Tottenham Hotspur are dealing with a significant injury crisis, with seven players sidelined, including Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Radu Dragusin, and Kota Takai. The team's fitness issues could impact their upcoming matches.

"Kolo Muani has trained now for two weeks with the team, so that's good. He looks better and better. He will be in contention for the squad ... so that's positive," Frank told reporters on Friday.

“Biss unfortunately had a situation with the national team, I think everyone saw that, unfortunately, so he got a ligament injury to his ankle. That’ll keep him out for weeks.”

Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank is poised to give France striker Randal Kolo Muani his Premier League debut against Aston Villa on Sunday. Kolo Muani has been recovering from a “dead leg” injury that has kept him sidelined for the past five games.

Yves Bissouma, on the other hand, will be out for weeks due to an ankle ligament injury sustained while playing for Mali in the World Cup qualifiers.

Kolo Muani has been training with the team for two weeks and is looking better, according to Frank. “He looks better and better. He will be in contention for the squad... so that's positive.” With Bissouma out, Spurs are dealing with a significant injury hit, having seven players sidelined, including Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison, Radu Dragusin, and Kota and Dominic Solanke, who is still recovering from minor ankle surgery.

Tottenham, the Europa League winners, remain unbeaten in their last seven matches across all competitions. They currently sit third in the Premier League table with 14 points, just two points behind leaders Arsenal. Meanwhile, Aston Villa ranks 13th with nine points from seven games.

Thomas Frank's Tottenham team has a tough task ahead, facing Aston Villa, a team that has proven difficult for him to beat. Frank has yet to win a league match against Unai Emery's Villa, losing three and drawing two in five attempts. “What Unai has done in his career is amazing, what he's created at Villa is fantastic. They almost qualified for the Champions League again,” Frank said, expressing his admiration for Emery's work. “I'm looking forward to it.”
