The Danish favorites had a monumental task ahead of them after suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat in the first leg in Iceland. However, they rose to the challenge and produced a remarkable performance to level the tie on aggregate and progress to the next round. Brondby will now face Strasbourg Alsace in the UEFA Conference League playoff round, with the matches scheduled for August 21 and 28, 2025.
