Naomi Osaka claimed her first WTA title since 2021 after defeating Kaja Juvan 6-1, 7-5 in the final of the L'Open 35 de Saint-Malo. This victory marks Osaka's first title since becoming a mother in July 2023, showcasing her triumphant return to professional tennis.

Naomi Osaka reflected on her first trophy win, posting on social media, “Kinda ironic to win my first trophy back on the surface that I thought was my worst. That’s one of my favourite things about life though, there’s always room to grow and evolve.”

Osaka had struggled with her game last year, failing to progress beyond the second round in any Grand Slam, but she has since shown signs of improvement, including reaching the third round of the Australian Open in January. She is set to compete in the main draw of the upcoming French Open.
