Bayer Leverkusen has signed 19-year-old Algerian international Ibrahim Maza from Hertha Berlin, with the talented forward committing to a five-year deal. Maza, who was born in Berlin and formerly represented Germany at youth level, chose to play for Algeria in 2024.

“Ibrahim Maza is currently one of the most interesting young attacking players,” said Simon Rolfes, Bayer Leverkusen's sporting managing director. “Ibrahim suits us and our style of football. He has outstanding technical ability, is good at dribbling and assertive, and he also has vision for his teammates whom he can brilliantly bring into play.”

Bayer Leverkusen, having secured the domestic league and cup double last season, currently sit second in the Bundesliga standings. With three matches remaining, they hold an eight-point gap behind league leaders Bayern Munich but are assured of finishing second, guaranteeing a spot in the next season's Champions League league phase.
