Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim sent a message to fans, saying “everything can change” in the Premier League after Liverpool's title win. Amorim's words aim to boost morale amid United's struggles.

United drew 1-1 with 10-man Bournemouth on Sunday, thanks to Rasmus Hojlund's stoppage-time equalizer. Antoine Semenyo had given the Cherries the lead, but Evanilson's red card shifted momentum in United's favor, allowing Hojlund to rescue a point.

Manchester United fans sang about their 20 titles in a bold response to Liverpool's triumph, which was confirmed hours later with a 5-1 win over Tottenham. The fans' defiance reflected their hope for a better future under Ruben Amorim.

Amorim echoed the fans' sentiment, expressing confidence that United will add to their title tally during his tenure. “The first thing is to focus on ourselves, not on the other teams,” he said. “The next thing is to be really honest. United and Liverpool are in different levels in this moment. But everything can change.” He added, referencing his own experience watching the Premier League, “And I remember when I started watching the Premier League, it was the opposite, so everything can change.”

Manchester United currently sit 43 points behind Liverpool and are fighting to avoid their lowest finish since the 1973-74 season. The team is also focused on reaching the Europa League final.

United will host the Europa League semi-final first leg against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday. Amorim will prioritize this match, acknowledging that catching Liverpool next season is unlikely. The team's immediate goal is to succeed in Europe.

“We need to focus on step by step, not trying to think too far ahead,” he said.

“We have an ultimate goal, which is winning the Premier League. I'm not crazy, I know that is not going to be next year.

“We need to improve next year. But I know it is important for the fans. We know that but we need to be honest with them and work hard every day.”

Bournemouth took the lead when Antoine Semenyo scored after capitalizing on a United free-kick mishap. The goal seemed to set up a win for the Cherries, marking a potential first league double over United.

However, Rasmus Hojlund rescued a point for United with a stoppage-time equalizer. Luke Shaw's low cross was redirected by Manuel Ugarte, and Hojlund instinctively diverted the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga to level the score. Lead

“The start of the game was hard for us; high pressure from the opponent, we lose some possession in our build-up and their goal is like that,” he said.

“If you look at our games, it's always a little bit our fault the way we suffer goals and then everything is so much harder to do. We managed to score one but I feel we lost two points today.”
