Tomiyasu's injury woes have been a significant setback for the 26-year-old, who has endured the toughest period of his career. Despite the challenges, Tomiyasu remains determined to bounce back, stating: “It has been the toughest period in my career for sure and it carries on a bit more but I won't give up.” Since joining Arsenal from Bologna in 2021, Tomiyasu has made a significant impact, but his current campaign has been severely hampered by injury.
Tomiyasu's limited playing time this season has been a result of his ongoing injury issues. He made just one appearance, coming on as a substitute against Southampton in a league game in October, and playing only six minutes. As Arsenal prepares to host West Ham United on Saturday, they will be hoping to close the seven-point gap with Premier League leaders Liverpool.
