Kane Set to Miss Bayern's Bundesliga Match Against Frankfurt
Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany has provided an update on Harry Kane's injury, saying the striker is likely to miss the team's Bundesliga match against Frankfurt but should return soon.
Bayern Munich's top scorer Harry Kane is likely to miss Sunday's Bundesliga clash against Eintracht Frankfurt due to a calf muscle injury, according to coach Vincent Kompany. Kane, who has scored 21 league goals so far, picked up the injury in Tuesday's Champions League playoff second leg draw against Celtic. Kompany provided an update on Kane's status, saying, “It is not the first time this season that we will have to solve this situation.”
Kompany acknowledged the challenge of replacing Kane's goal-scoring prowess, stating, “We cannot replace Harry one-to-one because not many players can score 40 or 50 goals per season.” Despite this, Kompany expressed confidence in his team's ability to find a solution and secure a win against Frankfurt. “We will try to find the best solution tomorrow to win the game,” Kompany said. ”If he is out we will solve it within the squad. We still have one training session.”
The good news for Bayern Munich is that Harry Kane's injury is not expected to keep him sidelined for an extended period. According to coach Vincent Kompany, Kane should be back in action within a few days. “It is good that we are not talking about three or four weeks. It is about a short-term situation,” Kompany said, providing a positive update on Kane's status.

Kane's absence comes at a crucial time for Bayern Munich, who have drawn their last two matches and face a challenging schedule ahead. They will meet Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League Round of 16 next month, and Kompany is aware of the importance of getting back to winning ways. However, the coach is choosing to focus on the immediate task at hand, which is Sunday's home match against Eintracht Frankfurt. “We now have Frankfurt at home. You know we can bring special moments in this stadium with our fans, and that's our only focus,” Kompany said, emphasizing the importance of staying present and focused on the next challenge.
