Bundesliga: Bayern Munich Cruise Past Frankfurt with Dominant 4-0 Win

Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga table to eight points with a resounding 4-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich extended their dominance at the Allianz Arena, securing a 10th consecutive Bundesliga home win with a resounding 4-0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. This emphatic win re-established Bayern's eight-point lead at the top of the table, as they claimed a record-extending 43rd home head-to-head win against Frankfurt.

After lackluster performances against Bayer Leverkusen and Celtic in recent matches, Bayern Munich made a sluggish start to the game. The hosts were nearly punished for their slow beginning when they lost possession in their own third, but Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike failed to capitalize on the opportunity, firing his shot wide of the target.

Bayern Munich gradually gained control of the match, and they were unfortunate not to take the lead when Rasmus Kristensen made a crucial goalline block to deny Jamal Musiala's effort. The chance was created by Michael Olise, who was causing problems for the Frankfurt defense with his runs down the right flank. Olise had already tested Kevin Trapp with a close-range shot and a low drive, showcasing his attacking prowess.

Thomas Müller, who started in place of Harry Kane, was the next Bayern player to threaten the Frankfurt goal, but his long-range strike was expertly saved by Trapp. Despite losing Joshua Kimmich to injury before halftime, Bayern continued to push for the opening goal. Their persistence paid off in first-half stoppage time, as Leroy Sane's cutback was expertly steered into an empty net by Michael Olise, who has now scored in consecutive matches against Frankfurt.

Eintracht Frankfurt's underwhelming finish to the first half prompted coach Dino Toppmöller to make a double substitution at the break. However, the changes failed to alter the course of the game, and Bayern Munich doubled their advantage on the hour mark. A corner kick caused chaos in the Frankfurt box, and goalkeeper Kevin Trapp's attempted punch clear ended in disaster, as the ball fell to Hiroki Ito at the near post, allowing him to score his first goal for Bayern.

The second goal seemed to deflate the visitors, and they were unable to recover. Bayern's third goal was a masterpiece of individual skill, as Jamal Musiala weaved past defenders with ease before being fouled. Musiala quickly regained his footing and drilled a shot past Trapp to seal the win. Bayern's dominant display was capped off in the 92nd minute, as Serge Gnabry added a fourth goal to complete the rout. The defeat brought an end to Frankfurt's seven-match unbeaten run in the Bundesliga, and they will face an even tougher challenge next week against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.
