The Tampa Bay Lightning secured a hard-fought 4-3 overtime victory against the Chicago Blackhawks. Mitchell Chafee opened the scoring for the Lightning with a power-play goal 11 minutes into the game. However, the Blackhawks responded strongly, with Colton Dach and Frank Nazar scoring to give Chicago a lead by the end of the first period.

The Blackhawks extended their advantage in the second period, with Louis Crevier scoring five minutes in. As the period drew to a close, Nick Paul got the Lightning back into the game, reducing the deficit to one goal. Despite being outshot by the Lightning, who had 53 attempts to Chicago's 30, the Blackhawks managed to hold on until late in the game.
The Lightning's persistence paid off with just 41 seconds remaining in regulation, as Jake Guentzel scored the equalizer. In overtime, the Lightning secured the win, with Nikita Kucherov scoring from a power play just a minute into the extra period. This marked the third power-play goal of the game for the Lightning. The Stars took the lead in the second period, courtesy of Jason Robertson's goal at the 7:31 mark. The Golden Knights restored parity less than 90 seconds later, with Shea Theodore scoring on another power play. By the end of the period, the Stars had regained their lead, thanks to goals from Jamie Benn and Robertson, making the score 4-2.
In the final frame, the Golden Knights pushed hard to overcome the deficit, unleashing 17 shots. Although Eichel scored his second goal of the game with 9:25 remaining, the Golden Knights were unable to mount a comeback. The Stars' victory propelled them to fourth place in the Western Conference, marking their 30th win of the season. Meanwhile, the Golden Knights have now lost five of their last six games.
