Late Show From Como Ends Torino's Winning Run In Serie A Thriller
Jacobo Ramon, Nico Paz and Martin Baturina all scored late as Como ended Torino's three-game winning streak with a dramatic 3-1 comeback win.
Nico Paz inspires late Como comeback win at Torino to move into Serie A top four...
Como extended their winning streak to four matches across all competitions after fighting back to secure a dramatic 3-1 late win at Torino, bringing the hosts' three-game winning run to an end.
Plenty of anticipation surrounded the clash between two in-form sides, and the only shock in the first half was that such a thrilling opening 45 minutes yielded just one goal.
Torino's opener came thanks to the persistence of Kian Fitz-Jim, who robbed a careless Jacobo Ramon inside the Como penalty area, and the Dutchman's cross set up Che Adams to fire home from eight yards.
Como hit back straight away but could not find a leveller, with Anastasios Douvikas' glancing header beating Torino goalkeeper Lucas Perri only to drift past the post, while Ramon almost made amends for his earlier mistake but nodded straight at Perri from six yards. Just before the break, Lucas Da Cunha drilled a low shot narrowly wide after Rafik Belghali's poor headed clearance, rounding off a frustrating first half for the visitors.
The frame of the goal then denied Como an equaliser early in the second half, when Maxence Caqueret's strike cannoned off the crossbar.
In spite of their attacking pressure, goalkeeper Alberto Moreno ensured Cesc Fabregas' side remained in contention for a point.
The on-loan Spanish keeper made three crucial saves to keep the deficit to a single goal, including a remarkable reflex stop to tip Giovanni Simeone's close-range header onto the crossbar.
Just as Ignazio Abate's men looked set for a fourth straight Serie A victory, the Lariani attack finally sparked into life, with Nico Paz's wicked delivery allowing Ramon to head home a deserved equaliser at the far post.

The comeback was complete minutes later as Paz went from provider to scorer, with the Argentine star glancing in a Yan Couto cross to prove the match-winner for Como once again.

All that remained was for Martin Baturina to add a third in stoppage time, after being presented with an opportunity by a stretched Torino defence whose resistance had clearly faded.
