Leipzig bring back Orjan Nyland on free transfer...
RB Leipzig have brought back Norway goalkeeper Orjan Nyland on a free transfer, signing him to a deal that runs until 2028, the Bundesliga side confirmed on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old returns to Leipzig after a loan spell in the 2022-23 season. He joins as a free agent following the end of his contract at Sevilla in June.
Nyland shot to national hero status during Norway’s run to the World Cup quarter-finals, stopping a penalty from Brazil’s Bruno Guimarães in a dramatic 2-1 win in the round of 16 last month.

“When the opportunity arose to return to RB Leipzig, I didn’t have to think twice. I have many positive memories of the club and the people here, and I’m really looking forward to seeing them again,” Nyland said.
The 35-year-old has also featured for Molde, FC Ingolstadt, Aston Villa and Reading. He has earned 76 caps for Norway.
