Belgian champions Club Brugge have brought in South Korean defender Lee Han-beom from FC Midtjylland on a three-year deal. The 24-year-old featured for South Korea at the 2026 World Cup.

Lee arrived at Midtjylland in August 2023 and endured a slow start with limited minutes. He then established himself as a central part of their backline, playing a decisive role in last season’s cup final win and featuring in a 47-game unbeaten streak for club and country that ended in November 2025.

“Lee’s stats are impressive. He is extremely dangerous on set-pieces and involved in a great many goals in attack. He is unique in so many areas and possesses key attributes that are top-tier in international football,” says Midtjylland Sports director Kristian Bach Bak.

This summer Lee started all three of South Korea’s games at the World Cup, and he now moves on to a new challenge with the Belgian title winners.
