New York Rangers land Marcus Pettersson from Canucks for 2030 first-round pick...

The New York Rangers picked up defenseman Marcus Pettersson from the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday, sending a protected 2030 first-round pick the other way.

At 30, Pettersson is heading into his 10th NHL season following a rough 2024-25 campaign. He posted a career-low 18 points - 3 goals and 15 assists - while playing all 82 games.

Pettersson is now set for his third team in as many years as New York keeps reshaping its roster this offseason. The Rangers have also added Pavel Dorofeyev from the Golden Knights and Massimo Rizzo from the Predators.
