Paul George to Boston as 76ers get Brown, draft picks in Celtics trade...
On Wednesday, the Boston Celtics dealt Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks, and two second-round picks.
The first-round haul includes a 2028 pick that could become a swap and a fully unprotected 2031 first. Boston’s two second-rounders come in 2028 and 2030, taking the most favorable slot among Warriors/Thunder/Bucks in 2028 and Wizards/Trail Blazers/Suns in 2030.
Brown, 28, became the center of trade buzz after the Bucks sent Giannis to the Miami Heat.
Boston was one of two teams in that blockbuster deal, but now the Celtics star is headed to Philadelphia to team up with former MVP Joel Embiid.
The five-time All-Star, two-time All-NBA selection, and 2024 Finals MVP has spent his entire 10-year career in Boston after the Celtics took him third overall in the 2016 Draft.
Brown has three years left on his deal. He’s due $57 million this season, $61 million next year, and $64.9 million in the final year.

After putting up career-best numbers, Brown averaged 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. He also picked up MVP votes for the first time after playing 71 games, his most since the 2018-2019 season when he appeared in 74.
Brown posted on social media: “Analytics nowadays used to discredit and control narratives - Roll the ball out, none of these guys better than me on both ends.”
He kept speaking out as the trade rumors picked up steam.

George, 36, has been limited by injuries, appearing in no more than 45 games in each of the last two seasons and topping 60 games just once in the last seven years.
The nine-time All-Star and six-time All-NBA forward is set to earn $54.1 million this season and holds a $56.5 million player option for next year.
