“I Feel I Have an Advantage” as Andreeva uses heat to power past Bouzkova at French Open...
Eighth seed Mirra Andreeva cruised into the French Open fourth round with a straight-sets win over Marie Bouzkova on Friday, beating the Czech 6-4, 6-2.
The 19-year-old Russian saved a break point in game six, then took Bouzkova’s serve in the ninth game. She held her nerve on serve to close out the first set.
Andreeva broke right away at the start of the second set, then added another break to love in the seventh game as she wrapped up victory in 1 hour 35 minutes.
“I was very happy I was able to close the first set despite missing some shots,” Andreeva said on court afterwards. “Very happy I was able to play aggressive throughout the match.”

Andreeva said the early-week heat wave worked in her favour and she liked playing in the afternoon before the courts lost temperature.
“When it's hot and its sunny I feel I have an advantage because when the ball is bouncing I can get a better shape on it,” she said.
