Lille have ended their partnership with coach Bruno Genesio following the expiry of his two-year deal, the Ligue 1 club confirmed on Monday.
The decision comes even though the 59-year-old guided Lille to third place in the league, securing Champions League qualification for next season.
“Having arrived in June 2024, Bruno Genesio has guided the club with talent, commitment, and performance over two seasons marked by fine collective achievements,” Lille said in a statement.
That, the club said, included, “two appearances in European competitions, memorable victories in the UEFA Champions League, and a third-place finish in Ligue 1 secured on May 17th at the conclusion of the 2025–26 season.”
