| Mjallby wins in Allsvenskan |
Mjallby hit four past Degerfors, Hammarby beat Goteborg in added time, and GAIS downed Vasteras in Saturday’s Allsvenskan action.
Three in-form sides moved up the Allsvenskan table as Mjallby, Hammarby and GAIS all secured victories on Saturday...
Mjallby’s steady rise up the Allsvenskan table continued with an easy away win over Degerfors this afternoon. Elsewhere, Hammarby snatched a late victory to pile more misery on Goteborg, who are still without a win, and GAIS edged past Vasteras in a tight contest.
Mjallby’s Turnaround Continues
After losing their opening two games – more defeats than they suffered in all of last season – Mjallby have looked a different side. They’ve now gone unbeaten in five, with four wins and a draw, and this emphatic away victory made it three wins on the bounce.
The visitors were ahead inside four minutes when a short corner was recycled to Jeppe Kjaer, who drilled a low shot from 25 yards into the bottom corner.
Mjallby made it 2-0 on the half-hour mark as Abdullah Iqbal delivered from the right and Tom Pettersson nipped in front of his marker to turn it home. Seven minutes later the game was almost over, with Tony Miettinen’s deep cross from the same flank met by Abdoulie Manneh’s header for a third.
Degerfors pulled one back five minutes into the second half when Daniel Sundgren kept a corner alive by looping it back into the box, allowing Nasiru Moro to stab it over the line.
Mjallby sealed the points six minutes from time through Elliot Stroud, who latched onto Jesper Gustavsson’s ball over the top, controlled it past the defence and finished clinically. The result lifts Mjallby to fourth on 13 points, while Degerfors slip to 11th and are now without a win in three games.
Last-Gasp Winner Keeps Hammarby Rolling
Two places and a point above Mjallby sit Hammarby, who grabbed a 94th-minute winner to claim consecutive wins for the first time this season. The result deepened Goteborg’s woes, leaving them still in the bottom two without a victory.
The first half was evenly matched, with both sides creating chances but lacking a cutting edge. After the break, Hammarby took charge, and Elis Bishesari was forced into saves to deny Paulos Abraham and Nikola Vasic.

The breakthrough finally came deep into stoppage time. A cross into the area was chested down by Goteborg defender Rockson Yeboah, who slipped and lost control. Oscar Johansson pounced, squaring it across goal for Victor Eriksson to tap in, with Yeboah on the ground playing him onside.
GAIS Climb Continues With Narrow Away Win
GAIS are steadily climbing after a slow start, moving up to eighth thanks to a second straight victory. The win extends their unbeaten run to four games and handed Vasteras their first home defeat since earning promotion.

The only goal came just past the 55th minute. Rasmus Niklasson chased a ball over the top, held off several defenders, and pulled it back for Robert Thorkelsson to guide a finish into the bottom corner.
Vasteras drop to 12th after a second defeat in a row, but the table remains tight - they’re level on eight points with eighth-placed GAIS.
