Hamstring injuries end season for Real Madrid’s Militao, Guler...
Real Madrid confirmed a double setback Wednesday: Arda Guler and Eder Militao will miss the rest of the season with hamstring injuries.
Club sources say both players are expected to miss roughly four weeks but should return in time for the World Cup, which begins in under 50 days.
Guler picked up the injury in Real Madrid’s final session before Friday’s Real Betis match. After muscle discomfort forced him to miss team training, tests revealed a right hamstring strain.

Militao’s injury was both sudden and clear. The Brazilian felt a pull during a challenge just before halftime in Tuesday’s game against Alaves and immediately asked to come off.

Coach Alvaro Arbeloa was optimistic after the match, but an MRI later confirmed a hamstring muscle injury in Militao’s left leg.
It’s another blow for the Brazilian centre-back, who has battled a run of injuries in recent seasons, including ACL tears in consecutive years.
Barcelona sit atop LaLiga on 82 points, nine ahead of Real Madrid with six matches left. A win in the May 10 Clásico at Camp Nou would seal back-to-back titles for Barca.
