The Florida Panthers dominated the Ottawa Senators, scoring five goals in the opening period and securing a win. The Panthers' strong start set the tone for the game, showcasing their offensive prowess.
Meanwhile, the Boston Bruins edged out the Dallas Stars with a 6-3 victory. David Pastrnak and Elias Lindholm contributed to the Bruins' win, highlighting their skilled gameplay.
Panthers Blaze Past Senators 6-3
The Florida Panthers dominated the Ottawa Senators with a 6-3 win, thanks to a five-goal barrage in the opening period. Noah Gregor scored just eight seconds into the game, setting the tone for a strong Panthers performance.
Early Goals Spark Panthers' Momentum
Matthew Samoskevich doubled the lead 58 seconds later, putting the Senators on their heels. The Panthers' early momentum proved too much for Ottawa, with Carter Verhaeghe scoring two goals and Matthew Tkachuk recording four points.

The Senators' struggles continued as Carter Verhaeghe scored two more goals, with AJ Greer's marker in between, making it a nightmare for Ottawa. The Panthers were already cruising 5-0 by the time they pulled Linus Ulmark with over 14 minutes gone in the game.

The Sens got on the board through Drake Batherson out of the first intermission, but Florida's momentum continued. The Panthers scored their sixth goal midway through, with Matthew Tkachuk joining the scoring party. It was a big hit for the Sens, who were trying to mount a comeback.

Jordan Spence and Mike Amadio scored consolation goals for the Senators, but it wasn't enough to change the outcome. The Sens fell to defeat for the third time in a row, and they're now two points out of the playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
The Senators will need to turn things around soon, while the Panthers have all but secured their postseason spot - ironic given they're second from bottom in the East. They did end a three-game losing streak, though.
Bruins Beat Stars 6-3 Behind Arvidsson Hat-Trick
The Boston Bruins needed a win to boost their playoff chances, and they got it in a 6-3 victory over the Dallas Stars. Viktor Arvidsson stole the show with a hat-trick, including two empty-net goals late on to seal the deal for Boston.

Jamie Benn and Matt Duchene scored for the Stars, who remain second in the Western Conference behind the Colorado Avalanche despite their sixth loss in seven games.
