Thomas Partey, the Villarreal midfielder, has pleaded not guilty to two additional rape charges in a London court. The Ghana international is already facing five counts of rape and one charge of sexual assault related to incidents between 2021 and 2022.


Partey's next court appearance is scheduled for May 16, where he'll continue to face the charges. The 30-year-old has denied all allegations and is currently on bail.


The ‌32-year-old midfielder was subsequently charged with two further offences of rape relating to a fourth complainant in December 2020, to which he pleaded not ⁠guilty at Southwark Crown Court.


The alleged offences took place when Partey played for Premier League soccer club Arsenal. ‌He left the club last summer and signed for Spain's Villarreal


Thomas Partey is currently on bail ahead of his trial, which was initially set for November but might be postponed. The midfielder's contract with Arsenal expired in June, and he's now playing for Villarreal.


Partey joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for 50 million euros and was a key player for the English side.
