Kvaratskhelia shines as PSG dominate Nice 4-0...
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is back on top of Ligue 1 after crushing Nice 4-0, marking their fourth win in five matches across all competitions. Nuno Mendes opened the scoring with a penalty, followed by Désiré Doué's goal, Dro Fernandez's first Ligue 1 goal, and Warren Zaire-Emery's late strike.
PSG's impressive form also secured them a thrilling quarter-final clash against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League, having demolished Chelsea in the previous round. However, they're under pressure to retain their Ligue 1 title, especially after Lens leapfrogged them to the top spot with a 5-1 win over Angers.
PSG started the match with a bang, creating their first real chance in the 12th minute when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's left-footed strike was superbly saved by Yehvann Diouf. Moments later, Kvaratskhelia had another almost identical chance, but it was deflected just wide of the post.
Diouf's goal kept getting tested, and he was forced to tip Ilya Zabarnyi's header over the bar at the halfway point of the first half.
Nice, determined to cause an upset, continued to threaten on counter-attacks, hitting PSG with two chances in quick succession.
Veteran centre-back Dante saw his header sail just wide of the post, while Elye Wahi had the goal at his mercy but failed to connect with a cross.
However, just when it looked like the game would go into the break goalless, VAR awarded PSG a penalty after Desire Doué’s half volley struck Morgan Sanson’s hand, with Nuno Mendes nestling his spot-kick into the bottom right corner
That goal arrived after Juma Bah stopped a certain goal by instinctively diverting Kvaratskhelia’s shot over the bar.
The half-time break offered the hosts a chance to regroup and decipher a comeback plan, but Nice’s hopes of winning a first league match since January were soon ended by PSG shortly after the restart.
Mendes drove powerfully into the box after playing a one-two with Kvaratskhelia, and he put the ball on a plate for Doue, who rifled his shot into the net.
Nice's night took a turn for the worse as Youssouf Ndayishimiye got sent off on the hour mark for a tough challenge on Lee Kang-in.
PSG almost scored a third immediately after, but Doué's left-footed shot went straight at Diouf after a great through ball from Mendes.

PSG dominated the rest of the game, camping in Nice's half, and sealed the win with two late goals.
Dro Fernandez scored his first senior goal for the club, slotting past Diouf, and Warren Zaire-Emery tapped into an empty net after a lucky rebound.
PSG's win puts them top, with 27 away goals - more than any other Ligue 1 team. Nice, meanwhile, remain winless in 7 league games, sinking to 15th.
