Marseille announces internal restructuring, Juster takes interim role...

Pablo Longoria, who led Olympique de Marseille for five years, has been replaced by Alban Juster as interim chairman of the management board.

The club announced Juster's appointment Saturday, with reports suggesting Longoria resigned as president.

“Olympique de Marseille announces the appointment of Alban Juster as Chairman of the Management Board. This decision was made by the Supervisory Board in accordance with the club’s statutes. It is part of an interim arrangement, while the necessary steps are taken to search for and appoint a new Chairman of the Management Board,” the club said in a statement released Saturday evening.

OM is keeping it in-house to maintain stability. Alban Juster, who's been with the club for eight years, is moving from Chief Financial & Compliance Officer to interim Chairman of the Management Board.

This appointment is temporary, giving OM time to find a permanent president

To support Alban Juster, OM's Management Board will now include Alessandro Antonello and Benjamin Arnaud, the club's former general secretary.

The main goal is operational continuity, with the club stating, “This arrangement ensures the administrative, financial, and operational continuity of Olympique de Marseille.”

Reports confirm Pablo Longoria has resigned as Marseille's president. This comes after owner Frank McCourt announced a shake-up 10 days ago.

Longoria's role was set to shift to institutional responsibilities, focusing on OM's representation in French and European governing bodies. His departure seemed likely given the circumstances.
