Lewis Hamilton vows “no holding back” as he starts his 20th F1 season with Ferrari, aiming to improve on a disappointing 2025.

Lewis Hamilton is gearing up for his 20th season in F1, promising “no holding back” as he aims to bounce back from a tough debut year with Ferrari. The 41-year-old Briton, with a record 105 Grand Prix wins, starts this weekend in Melbourne where he made his F1 debut with McLaren in 2007.
Hamilton's mindset is clear: he's focused on turning things around and proving himself with Ferrari.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton had a tough 2025, failing to make a podium for the first time in his career as he struggled to adjust to Ferrari.
But he's looking positive heading into the new season. Hamilton took to Instagram to reflect on his career, hinting at a fresh start with the Scuderia.
“Twenty seasons as an F1 driver. It's hard to even grasp the reality of that number,” Hamilton said.
“It started with a dream. A dream some called ridiculous and said would never amount to anything. Despite that, the dream never changed, and I never stopped chasing it.
“There will always be people who doubt you, people who try to block you, but you can't ever stop fighting,” he added.
†I'm forever grateful for the lessons, the quiet moments, the chaos, and the many people who helped me chase and achieve my dreams.”

“I'm grateful for the doubters and for the ones who tried to knock me down, too. I'm still here, 20 years on, still standing, still hungry, still focused on the dream. No holding back.”
This year's F1 grid is a mystery box, with all teams revamping their cars after massive rule changes to chassis, engines, and aerodynamics.
The season opener in Melbourne is hyped, with teams like McLaren, Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes expected to be top contenders, based on pre-season testing in Barcelona and Bahrain.
