Jiri Lehecka's impressive run at the Miami Open has earned him a career-high ranking of 14th in the world...

Jannik Sinner has made history by winning the ATP Miami Masters 1000 for the second time, defeating Jiri Lehecka 6-4, 6-4 and completing the “Sunshine Double” alongside his Indian Wells crown. This achievement makes him the first man to sweep the elite hard court tournaments in California and Florida without dropping a set, a feat last achieved by Roger Federer in 2017.

Sinner's dominant run continues, with his victory marking his seventh Masters 1000 title and 26th ATP title overall. He showed remarkable resilience, overcoming rain delays and Lehecka's strong performance to secure the win. With this victory, Sinner has now won 34 consecutive sets in Masters 1000 events, the longest streak in history.

Jannik Sinner made history by winning three consecutive Masters 1000 events, starting with his Paris Masters victory last year. This impressive streak includes his recent wins at Indian Wells and Miami, making him the first player to achieve the Sunshine Double without dropping a set.

Sinner's win, alongside Aryna Sabalenka's triumph over Coco Gauff, marks a historic milestone as the first Indian Wells-Miami sweep on both men's and women's sides since Novak Djokovic and Victoria Azarenka achieved it in 2016.

The match was not without its challenges, as early showers caused a delay of over an hour, and Sinner had just secured the first set when rain hit again, halting play for 90 minutes.

Sinner broke Lehecka's serve for the first time in the tournament, taking a 2-1 lead in the opening set. Despite facing a 0-40 deficit in the next game, Sinner rallied to hold serve, firing three service winners and a pair of aces.

This momentum seemed to propel Sinner forward, as he continued to dominate the match and secure the win.

Sinner took control in the ninth game, unleashing a blistering cross-court forehand service return winner to earn a first set point. Lehecka fought back, saving the set point with a service winner and another with a volley, but Sinner ultimately sealed the set with a love game.

Sinner's powerful play put him ahead, and he didn't look back, wrapping up the set in style. Lehecka's efforts weren't enough to trouble Sinner, who was playing with confidence and precision.

Lehecka fought off five set points, but Sinner ultimately broke through in the second set, taking a 5-4 lead. He earned a match point with a forehand volley winner and sealed the win with another winner at the net, after a let call on his serve gave him a second chance.

Jiri Lehecka's impressive run at the Miami Open has earned him a career-high ranking of 14th in the world, despite falling short of winning the title against Jannik Sinner. Lehecka, playing in his first Masters 1000 final, showed remarkable skill and determination, but ultimately couldn't replicate Jakub Mensik's feat of winning the tournament last year.
