Aryna Sabalenka has made history by winning the Miami Open for the second consecutive year, defeating Coco Gauff 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in a thrilling three-set match. This victory marks Sabalenka's fifth Sunshine Double, joining an elite group of tennis stars like Iga Swiatek, Victoria Azarenka, Kim Clijsters, and Steffi Graf.

Sabalenka dominated the opening set, breaking Gauff's serve early on and maintaining her lead to take a 6-2 win. However, Gauff fought back in the second set, winning it 6-4. The deciding set was intense, with Sabalenka breaking Gauff's serve to take a 5-3 lead and sealing the victory with her fourth break of the match.

The world number one cruised through the opening set, not facing a single break point on her way to a 6-2 win in 38 minutes. It was a comfortable start, setting the tone for a potentially dominant match.

Gauff fought back early in the second set, earning her first break point of the match in the second game, but she couldn't capitalize on it.

Aryna Sabalenka seemed poised to seal the Sunshine Double in straight sets, but Coco Gauff fought back strongly in the second set. Gauff faced intense pressure, fighting off break points at 2-2 and 3-3, showcasing her resilience under Sabalenka's relentless attacks.

However, Gauff raised her game when it mattered most, capitalizing on errors creeping into Sabalenka's play. She fought back from 30-0 down, breaking serve to take the second set 6-4, forcing a deciding third set.

Gauff sent the home crowd wild, but Sabalenka quickly took control, racing into a 2-0 lead in the final set. She never looked like losing her advantage after that, breaking Gauff again at the end of the decider to seal a 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 triumph.

Sabalenka's victory marks a historic achievement, making her the fifth player in women's tennis history to secure the Sunshine Double. This impressive feat comes after her recent win at Indian Wells, showcasing her exceptional performance on the court. She's also become just the third player to win more than 10 WTA 1000 titles, solidifying her position as a tennis powerhouse.
