Spurs' poor form continues as Forest cruise to 3-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium...

Nottingham Forest handed Tottenham Hotspur a 3-0 defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, plunging their relegation rivals deeper into Premier League trouble. This marks Forest's fourth consecutive win against Spurs, and it's clear they're gaining momentum.

Forest dominated the early stages, with Cristian Romero's pre-game rallying cry failing to spark Spurs into action. Instead, Forest took the lead just before halftime through Igor Jesus' header from Neco Williams' corner. Spurs had chances, but it was Forest who struck again after the break, with Morgan Gibbs-White scoring just after the hour mark and Taiwo Awoniyi adding a late third.

This result sees Forest leapfrog Spurs into 16th place, with 32 points from 31 games, while Spurs drop to 17th with 30 points. The win is Forest's first in the league under coach Vitor Pereira, and it gives them a three-point cushion over West Ham United.

It didn’t take too long for the pendulum to swing in Tottenham’s favour, and they manufactured the game’s first real opportunity when Mathys Tel’s corner was met by Richarlison, whose header flashed across the face of goal and behind.

The hosts came even closer moments later, albeit with a huge stroke of fortune, as Igor Jesus headed Kevin Danso’s long throw against his own post.

Spurs kept pushing, but chances were scarce in a tense first half. The must-not-lose vibe was palpable, but that didn't translate to many clear-cut opportunities.

Forest's sucker punch came just before halftime. Neco Williams' corner was headed home by Igor Jesus, and Spurs' hopes took a hit.

Nerves were certainly growing inside the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and those soon turned to despair when the hosts found themselves two goals behind.

Callum Hudson-Odoi did the heavy lifting in the build-up, dancing his way to the byline before cutting the ball back for one-time Tottenham target Morgan Gibbs-White to sweep home from six yards.

Spurs struggled to threaten Forest's lead, and their chances were scarce. A stinging volley from Pape Matar Sarr was well blocked by Ibrahim Sangare, but it was about as close as they came to salvaging a crumb of pride.

West Ham's loss to Aston Villa spared Spurs the embarrassment of dropping into the bottom three. But Forest's late third, courtesy of Taiwo Awoniyi's tap-in from Neco Williams' delivery, sparked a mass exodus and boos at full-time. The defeat puts huge pressure on Igor Tudor's job, making it hard to see how he survives this one.
