Argentina will face Guatemala in a friendly match on March 31st, a game that'll serve as a farewell for fans before the World Cup. The match is happening after the cancellation of the Finalissima.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) announced that Lionel Scaloni's squad will travel to Argentina for a week of intense training and the friendly match against Guatemala. “See you in Argentina!” the AFA said in a statement.

The highly anticipated match between European champions Spain and Copa America winners Argentina, scheduled for March 27th in Doha, has been cancelled due to safety concerns stemming from the US-Israeli strikes on Iran. The conflict has led to the cancellation of several sporting events in the Gulf region.

The match, known as the Finalissima, was set to feature a clash between Spanish sensation Lamine Yamal and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi at Doha's Lusail Stadium. However, UEFA and CONMEBOL ultimately decided to cancel the event due to the unstable situation in the region.

The AFA will announce the squad and venue for the Guatemala match soon. This match is Argentina's last home game before the World Cup, kicking off in the US, Mexico, and Canada between June and July.
