Harry Wilson is back. The Wallabies skipper is set to return from knee surgery and lead the Queensland Reds against Otago Highlanders on Friday.
Wilson had minor surgery last month after knee damage sustained in Australia's win over South Africa at Ellis Park in August.
Wallabies captain Harry Wilson is back in the Queensland Reds' lineup for their Brisbane showdown, joining fly-half Carter Gordon, hooker Josh Nasser, scrum-half Kalani Thomas, and utility back Filipo Daugunu. This marks a welcome return for Wilson, who had been sidelined with a knee issue.
“This is our home and we always want to put out a performance worthy of the Queensland jersey,” said Reds coach Les Kiss, who will take over from Joe Schmidt as Australia coach in July.
“We have been working hard on areas that will be important against the Highlanders. We know how getting all those little moments right do add up in rugby.”
Coach Jamie Joseph is sticking with his trusted team, making just one change to the starting lineup: Oliver Haig replaces Will Stodart in the pack.
“Our game is growing, and we're working hard on the small details that will help us deliver a more complete 80-minute performance,” said Joseph.
“We'll need that level of accuracy and intensity if we're going to get the job done on Friday.”
Rugby’s rough on turf but there’s a patchwork quilt look to Lang Park ahead of @Reds_Rugby v @Highlanders tonight!

Jamie Joseph is a top contender for the All Blacks head coach position, alongside Dave Rennie, after Scott Robertson's dismissal last month. If Joseph lands the job, he'll face off against his former Reds coach, Les Kiss, in the Bledisloe Cup later this year, leading the Wallabies.
The Bledisloe Cup is a highly anticipated annual rugby union competition between Australia's Wallabies and New Zealand's All Blacks. With Joseph's potential appointment, the rivalry is set to intensify, especially given his experience and Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt's confidence in the team's physicality.
