Tottenham set to announce Igor Tudor as interim manager until the end of the season, following Thomas Frank's dismissal. Tudor, a former Juventus boss, has reached a verbal agreement with the club and is expected to finalize the deal. The 47-year-old Croatian coach will take charge of Tottenham's training on Monday, with his first match likely being the north London derby against Arsenal on February 22.

Tudor's appointment comes after Tottenham's poor run, with just two wins in 17 league games, leaving them 16th in the Premier League table, five points above the relegation zone. The club is looking for a permanent successor to Thomas Frank in the summer, with Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi among the candidates.

Massimiliano Allegri was sacked by Juventus in October after an eight-match winless run left them struggling in eighth place in Serie A. The 47-year-old has had a varied career, with stints at Lazio, Marseille, Verona, Hajduk Split, Galatasaray, and Udinese.

At Juventus, Tudor inherited a team that sat outside the Champions League places late in the 2024-25 campaign, but he guided them to a fourth place finish after losing just one of his first 11 games in charge.

When his appointment is confirmed, the former Croatia defender will be tasked with cleaning up the mess left by Frank, who was axed on Wednesday after a 2-1 defeat against Newcastle 24 hours earlier.

Tottenham is currently struggling, sitting 16th in the Premier League table, just five points above the relegation zone. Thomas Frank, who took over from Ange Postecoglou in June 2025, has been sacked after a dismal run of two wins in 17 league games. The club's players have been given time off until Monday, with no weekend match scheduled following their FA Cup exit in January.

Igor Tudor is set to take over as interim manager until the end of the season, with his first match likely being the north London derby against Arsenal on February 22.

Igor Tudor is expected to be in place by the time Tottenham returns to training. The club is opting for a temporary boss, following the template used by Manchester United, who hired Michael Carrick after sacking Ruben Amorim.

Tottenham Hotspur was also considering Edin Terzic, former Borussia Dortmund manager, and Marco Rose, ex-Leipzig boss, before agreeing to appoint Igor Tudor as interim manager. Candidates for the permanent job include Mauricio Pochettino, who is currently leading the United States at the World Cup, and is expected to be available in June and July.

Tudor's first match in charge will be the north London derby against Premier League leaders Arsenal on February 22, a tough test for the new manager.
