Luka Modric scored a late winner to secure a 2-1 victory for AC Milan against Pisa, closing the gap on Serie A leaders Inter Milan to five points. The match was a slow start, with only one shot attempted in the first 30 minutes.

AC Milan broke the deadlock in the 39th minute with Ruben Loftus-Cheek's header, but Pisa equalized through Felipe Loyola's goal. Modric came to Milan's rescue, scoring in the 85th minute to secure the win. This victory extends Milan's unbeaten league run to 23 games (W15, D8).

Pisa's relegation woes almost got the better of Lecce, as Filip Stojilkovic had a goal-bound shot blocked by Mike Maignan on the half-hour mark. Lecce, however, responded strongly, taking the lead just before the break through Ruben Loftus-Cheek's headed goal, courtesy of Zachary Athekame's pinpoint cross.

The England international's goal sparked Lecce's momentum, and they looked poised to capitalize on Pisa's vulnerability.

The second half kicked off with a bang, but Milan's joy was short-lived as Adrien Rabiot's goal was ruled out for a handball by Niclas Füllkrug. Undeterred, Milan kept pushing and were awarded a penalty when Felipe Loyola fouled Strahinja Pavlović. However, Füllkrug's spot-kick hit the post, denying Milan a crucial goal.

Pisa pulled off a stunning comeback, equalizing in the 71st minute through Felipe Loyola's stunning 15-yard strike that found the bottom corne. The hosts' goal sparked a grandstand finish, with Milan suddenly facing a nervous conclusion.

Unsurprisingly, Milan threw everything at the Nerazzurri to try and grab a vital late winner, and they came close to retaking the lead when Füllkrug’s close-range shot was steered narrowly wide of the target after being set up by Samuele Ricci.

With time quickly running out and the Rossoneri on the brink of registering an extremely frustrating draw, Luka Modrić came to Milan’s rescue with a clever finish past Nícolas to spare the visitors’ blushes.

AC Milan secured a narrow 2-1 win over Pisa, despite Adrien Rabiot's late red card. Luka Modric's 85th-minute winner sealed the victory, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek scoring the opening goal. Felipe Loyola had equalized for Pisa, but Milan held on to claim all three points.

Milan remains second in Serie A, four points clear of third-placed SSC Napoli. Pisa, on the other hand, is struggling, with a 14-match winless streak and six points adrift of safety.
