Real Madrid has submitted all available evidence to UEFA regarding Vinicius Junior's allegation that Benfica's Gianluca Prestianni used a racist slur during their Champions League match. The incident led to an 11-minute suspension of the game after Vinicius scored and reported the alleged abuse to the referee.


UEFA has appointed an Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector to investigate the allegations, while Prestianni denies the claims, stating Vinicius “misunderstood what he thinks he heard.” Benfica has also released a statement backing their player, calling it a “defamation campaign” against Prestianni.
