Manchester United's unbeaten run under interim manager Michael Carrick continues, thanks to Benjamin Sesko's second-half goal that secured a 1-0 win over Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium. This victory extends United's unbeaten streak to six games, with five wins and one draw.
Sesko, who came on as a substitute, scored in the 71st minute, capitalizing on a counter-attack initiated by Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo's perfect pass. This win moves United into fourth place, three points ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.
Carrick praised Sesko's performance, highlighting his ruthless finish and confidence. Everton's David Moyes expressed disappointment with the scoreline, acknowledging United's strong defensive effort.
Manchester United's Carrick-led side nearly took the lead early on, but Amad Diallo's shot was blocked by Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski. United kept pushing, with Diogo Dalot's long-range strike just missing the target.
Everton grew into the game after halftime, with James Garner's free-kick testing Senne Lammens' goalkeeping skills. The Belgian keeper came up trunch.
After a relatively uneventful opening period, the Toffees could’ve taken the lead within a minute of the restart when Harrison Armstrong’s curled effort from 12 yards was saved by Lammens.
United went close themselves shortly after, but Bryan Mbeumo blazed wastefully over the bar when well-placed in the box.
David Moyes' Everton struggled to break through at home, having lost five of their previous nine Premier League games. They kept pushing forward, but United's counter-attacking game proved their downfall.

A brilliant counter-attacking goal in the 71st minute changed the game, with Cunha's pass setting up Mbeumo, who found substitute Sesko. Sesko's first-time finish was superb, curling into the far corner.
Everton pushed hard for a late equaliser, with Michael Keane's powerful shot tested Lammens. The Toffees kept fighting, but Lammens was solid in United's goal, denying Tyrique George late on.
That was Everton's last chance - United held on to secure a hard-earned win, moving them closer to Aston Villa in third.
