Real Betis' unbeaten run continues. They beat Dinamo Zagreb 3-1, making it three wins and three draws in the Europa League this season. The first 15 minutes were cagey, with neither team creating much clear-cut action.

Antony’s outside-of-the-boot pass almost set up a Betis chance, but it just missed Cedric Bakambu. Betis created some problems for Dinamo, with Sergi Altimira’s long-range shot causing trouble for goalkeeper Ivan Filipovic.

Dinamo Zagreb's  4-5-1 formation kept Betis at bay, and they looked more threatening on the counter, with Dejan Ljubicic and Fran Topic causing problems down the wings.

Filipovic made a great save to palm Abde Ezzalzouli’s shot away, but Betis kept pushing. Two minutes later, Sergi Dominguez's deflection led to an own goal, and Betis were ahead.

Riquelme scored the second, finishing Bakambu's perfect pass. Just four minutes later, Filipovic's mistake gifted Betis a third, and Antony chipped the empty net. Betis were on fire.

Dinamo were much more purposeful after the break, at least in the early stages, with 17-year-old substitute Cardoso Varela heavily involved down Betis’ right-hand side.

The Spaniards were worked more in the first 10 minutes of the second half than in all of the first, but remained a threat.

Ezzalzouli's shot almost sneaked in, and Josip Misic's long-range effort flew just wide. As the game wore on, the pace slowed, and both teams had fewer clear chances.

In the 89th minute, Niko Galesic grabbed a scarcely deserved consolation for Dinamo, who have now picked up just one point from their last four UEL matches.

By contrast, Real Betis have created club history with their eighth unbeaten game in succession in Europe (W5, D3).
